Our team of educators from across the US designed a standards-based PreK-12th grade ELA & math sequence based on high priority standards and Big Ideas that specifically targets the concepts and skills we know students will be lacking with unfinished learning.
We start with a baseline assessment that is interactive, so the tutor really gets to know what the learner knows and needs to know. We have formative assessments every 2 weeks, and a summative at the conclusion of services.
Within each lesson, we start and end with an SEL check in and check out, then for content we follow the CPA approach, starting first with hands-on concept building (Concrete), then moving into pictorial guided practice (Pictorial), and ending with supported mastery practice (Abstract).
